Pon Plaza Hall
Pon Plaza Hall, which seats 108 persons, is a small performing arts theater where audiences are close to the action, and can therefore feel greater familiarity with performers on the stage. Kitakyushu
Performing Arts Center
Consisting of three halls of different sizes, the Kitakyushu Performing Arts Center serves as a venue not only for theatrical performances, but also for other various types of performing arts, including musicals, kabuki, rakugo and dancing. It also serves as the main venue for the annual Kitakyushu Theater Festival, where high-level theatrical performances are presented.

Fukuoka Asian Art Museum
The Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (FAAM) is the only museum in the world that systematically collects and exhibits Asian modern and contemporary art works. It houses some 2,300 paintings, sculptures, prints and other works. Permanent collection exhibitions, as well as various special exhibitions are held at FAAM. The Museum offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of exhibitions.


Fukuoka has many art museums and galleries, and many local theatrical companies are active here. Fukuoka is a fun city!

Culture Information
At Gallery “artlier,” you can obtain comprehensive information about all art and cultural events held in Fukuoka City, such as music concerts, theatrical performances, dance events and art exhibitions. The gallery also serves as a ticket agency; if you are interested in a particular event, you can buy tickets for it at the gallery. Also featuring a café accommodating 70 patrons, a free-admission gallery, a museum shop and the like, “artlier” gives visitors the chance to unwind, take their time and mentally relax while enjoying multi-faceted arts.
